Welcome to the Hope Project's Christmas Initiative. The goal of this initiative is to raise monthly support for children in East Africa. Currently through the Hope Project's efforts 51 children in Moshi, Tanzania are being sponsored on a monthly basis; leaving 92 children who need your help. By giving $35, you give the gift of 1 meal per day, education, and medical care for an entire month. If we can get 1104 people to each give $35 then all 92 children will recieve these benefits for all of 2009.
During the Christmas season, many people are asking for money and they are all worthy causes. One area that sets the Christmas Initiative and the Hope Project apart, is that 100% of your donation goes straight to supporting a child in Africa.
Why is this important you ask, these children currently may not eat for several days, they are not able to go to school because of the costs, and they recieve no medical attention worth mentioning. These are issues that we as Americans, in general, do not face. We have access to school, food, health care if we need it.
What better to do for Christmas than to give children half way around the world, the gift of food, education and health care.
